Description

Our client is a leading design firm in Saudi Arabia, with over 35 years experience within their industry. The company has a number of offices across Saudi Arabia. The organisation specializes in interior design, landscaping, engineering, project management and site supervision. OVERVIEW OF ROLE: The SENIOR QUANITY SURVEYOR reports to the Project Manager and interfaces with the Contractor’s quantity surveyors. His duties and responsibilities are as follows; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Assist the project manager with the proper interpretation of the conditions of contract and with the operation of the project schedule and cost control system. •Monitor correspondence of a contractual significance passing between the various parties, and advise the project manager and senior architect on the contractual basis of any claims by the contractor. •Measure actual works for which provisional quantities have been allowed. •Review the contractors activity values as presented in the Detailed Working Schedule. •Maintain updated project cash flow curve in order to monitor performance trends in terms of earnings. •Review, check and certify the Contractors Applications for payment and procedures corrected figures where necessary. •Prepare reports on project cost aspects as directed by the project manager. •Attend weekly meetings with client and contractor and prepare record minutes for signature of all parties. KEY SKILLS: •Excellent knowledge of how to prepare the valuation of change orders, and the cost implication of proposed design revisions. •Must have experience of how to carry out the weekly assessment of job financial progress and check the accuracy of the Contractors Weekly Progress Report. •Able to efficiently establish and maintain cost control procedures and maintain an informed position on the site progress and all matters relating to the cost control of the project.
